Introduction
Toba Falode aka Tyler Fray was born on May 19, 1994, and graced the world with his magnetic presence for 19 beautiful years before his tragic and unexpected passing on February 14, 2014. From a young age, his love for music was undeniable. At just seven years old, he discovered his passion for singing, filling every space with melodies that spoke to his soul and those around him.
As he grew, his love for music deepened, and he began exploring the world of music production. With an ear for sound and a heart full of dreams, he started creating and producing music, each note reflecting his creativity and dedication. He looked forward to building a career as a music producer, eager to share his unique sound with the world. His last project was on a concept he called “Black and White World.” In his words - “the project was to highlight the fact that we do live in a black and white world and the colours we see are only based on our various different perspectives.”

Beyond his musical talent, Toba was a kind, passionate, and driven soul. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him, not just through his music but through his warmth, laughter, and unwavering spirit. Though his time here was brief, his legacy lives on in the melodies he created and the memories he left behind.
He was deeply thoughtful and carefully observant with his music and his love for people.
The Tyler Fray Foundation carries on that memory in his honour - giving different musical talents the unique opportunity to express their love for music and sound through their own diverse experiences.
